February 2006
Dear Friends and Partners:
Nancy and I want to thank you for your continued support of our work here in the Island of Cebu, Philippines. Besides our residential program at Happy Horizons Children's Ranch, we also have hundreds of children in our sponsorship program, thanks to the help of Mission of Mercy. This year we will increase the sponsorships to 575 kids. We are also beginning a new project in the Island of Leyte, with Pastors Romeo and Emma Castro. We will highlight this work at a later date.
Our new “child rescue” project is beginning in earnest. We are now in the process of purchasing our safe house, due to the donation of one sponsor through our partners at MOM. This is a real miracle! We will be building a second stage facility at the ranch to bring these children for education and training. The children are victims of “child trafficking” and with this new facility in Cebu and the one at the ranch we will be able to provide the necessary counseling, care and training to see their lives changed by the Lord! Rejoice with us, but keep us in your prayers!
Finally, our new school building is underway. We were able to meet with Pastor Bobby Wilson of Praise Assembly of God, Pueblo, Colorado, and while in the States recently. They will be our first team of workers this August. We are thrilled at their partnership in this work.
Also, after a visit with Rev. Jerry Cassel, the Rocky Mountain Districts Missions/Men’s Director, we were thrilled to learn that the District will be promoting this building project throughout the churches of Colorado and Utah. We welcome anyone interested in forming a group or coming to help on this important project. For information you can contact the RM District Office or if you want to make a special offering for this project you can send it to Project #5063, AGWM, 1445 Springfield, MO 65802 or make an online donation through the AG donor site.
Note: our goal is to complete the entire building this year with the Lord’s help. It will provide a new school facility, computer and science lab as well as cafeteria and kitchen.
We love each and every one of our friends and appreciate so much your prayers and support. Together we are making a difference, now and for eternity.
Caught in the Grip of Jesus,
Glenn & Nancy Garrison
