For many years now, we at HHCR have wanted our own center for rescued children here in Cebu. We rented a home for four years, but had a dream that today is now a miracle happened!
Near Immanuel Bible College Campus, in the heart of Cebu City, God provided us the ideal home that is a "safe house" for rescued children. It is 3000 square feet, with a small lawn, beautiful and ample rooms for more than 20 girls. It is a safe wonderful place where our girls can be orientated, counseled and brought back to "life again".
It was provided through the generosity and partnership of Mission of Mercy. Our partnership with them is proving to be such a blessing, we take our hats off to this wonderful group.
We are currently finishing up the setup phase of the operation, but are open and ready to take more children. Along with our partnership with IJM (International Justice Mission) we are the rehabilitation of arm for those saved from abuse. We provide the aftercare and ultimately our goal is to get the girls to the ranch where they can be trained, educated and assimilated back into a healthy family life.
The trafficking of children is a terrible business. It is estimated that 100,000 children are trafficked, bought and sold like so much merchandise, annually within the Philippines. Cebu City has become a major destination for these little souls. Pray with us as we partner with other NGO's dedicated to seeing them freed from this modern day slavery. A little girl can be bought for as little as $40, sent to a house of abuse, where she will be tortured, raped and hurt night after night.
Jesus said to "welcome the little ones in His name". Yes Lord is our cry!
