Unimaginable, God becoming a man, even more unimaginable, God becomes a baby, learning to become a little boy, skinning his knees, crying, laughing, doing all that a normal kid does. That is beyond description, yet that is what the incarnation teaches us. That is why Christmas is a kid’s thing. Jesus identified with children so closely, “for of such is the Kingdom of God” He would proclaim. Don’t forbid them to come to me, he explained for when you welcome a kid in my name you welcome me. Wow, what a thought!
I pray that this season will remind you and me that kids need to see the Savior in our actions, our expressions and yes in our celebrations. Don’t be afraid to embrace a child this season. Throw a party and invite the children, Jesus will be there for sure.
This season HHCR will host numerous parties, give thousands of gifts and express to each child they are unique and loved by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Join us by giving a special gift of love, “a toy for a tot”. Make a difference, welcome a child in Jesus’ name.
